Bailey Chairs 4 Dogs​

A Bailey Chair is a specially designed upright feeding chair for dogs diagnosed with canine megaesophagus. The chair uses gravity to help food and water travel from the esophagus into the stomach, helping reduce regurgitation and lowering the risk of aspiration pneumonia.

Canine megaesophagus is a condition where the esophagus loses its ability to move food into the stomach. Dogs with megaesophagus often regurgitate food and water because the esophagus cannot push it downward normally.

A Bailey Chair allows your dog to eat in an upright begging position so gravity can do the work the esophagus cannot. For many dogs with megaesophagus, this becomes an essential part of their daily care routine.

Most veterinarians recommend remaining upright for approximately 20–30 minutes after every meal. Your veterinarian may recommend a different amount of time depending on your dog's condition.
